Creative lady Mary Donetskova (who goes by @marys_hobby_lifeon Instagram) recently turned a one-gallon Vlasic container into the most gorgeous candle holder. Her husband buys these jars of Vlasic kosher dills from Sam's Club with abandon for her. In an effort to "reduce, reuse, recycle," as any great DIY maven is prone to do, Mary constantly tries to find new uses for the empty jars.
"Here’s a DIY idea that you will see from time to time on my IG posts. I saved up so many of these and have used them for decor all around my house. There are so many ways you can transform them," she explains in the caption of her post.
All Mary did was clean the jar out and remove its label (she says very hot water and a little soap do the trick for extra sticky residue), then she glued rope purchased from the dollar store to the rim and popped a candle inside. On a nice wood trivet surrounded by greenery, the whole set up looks downright e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e.
